Advanced Training Zones
The C536X automatically calculates three training zones and your maximum heart rate (MHR) based on your age:
Select the training zone at the start of your workout depending on your fitness goal.
If you need to fine-tune your training zone, you can customize the training zone and the maximum heart rate to suit your own personal fitness level.
- Zone 1 – Wellbeing (50% – 65% MHR)
- Zone 2 – Fitness (65% – 80% MHR)
- Zone 3 – Competitive Sport (80% – 95% MHR)
- Zone U – any upper and lower limit can be set manually
Keep Your Workouts in the Correct Zone
The easy to read large display continuously shows your heart rate and percentage of your max HR during exercise.
While you are training in your selected zone the C536X LED will flash green when your heart rate is in the zone.
If your heart rate rises above or falls below your training zone and you are exercising too fast or slow the C536X will warn you with an alarm beep and the LED will flash red.

Fitness Test & Over Training Prevention
As well as training efficiently it is also very important to make sure you do not over train and cause too much stress to your body. A good guide is to check your recovery phase.
The C536X includes a fitness level test which displays your current fitness level after a 5 minute recovery phase. This is essential to track your progress and also works as a guide to make sure you are not over training. Tips to monitor and prevent over training are also included in the CSX HRM eBook.
